The Mall Walthamstow

OBR Construction Ltd have been awarded the Ground Works and Reinforced Concrete Frame on The Mall, Walthamstow project for Tide Construction Ltd.

The scope includes the construction of a basement on piles foundations. Two block with slipform cores 36 & 28 storeys high, in-situ suspended slabs at ground and 1st floor with 1.7m deep podiums slabs at level 2 to take the vision modules. When completed it will provide 495 one and two bedroom apartments.

OBR works commence on site in April 23 and OBR completion is targeted for December 23.

Goods Yard Stoke

OBR Construction Ltd have been awarded the Reinforced Concrete works on Goods Yard, Glebe Street, Stoke on Trent project.

The work consists of 1 Block, 10 storeys with two RC Cores and traditional RC slabs. Once complete, the main building will feature 174 design-led apartments for rent, with a mix of 1,2 and 3-bed homes, as well as private resident gardens, resident facilities such as a café or bike repair shop, alongside other uses such as a gym or convivence store.

Project commences in March 23 and OBR works will be completed Quarter 4 of 2023.

St Michaels, Phase 1, Manchester

OBR Construction Ltd have been awarded the reinforced concrete works on the highly prestigious St Michaels project, Manchester. The Slipform Core will be one of the largest completed to date by OBR with a post tensioning frame to follow.

The office building, which will include a new public square and a rooftop restaurant with views across Manchester that can accommodate 900 guests.

Project commences in January 23 and OBR works plant to be completed Quarter 1 2024.

The Crawford Centre, Jacobs Island, Cork

OBR Developments have commenced the construction pf 69 apartments for Respond housing Association at Jacobs Island site, Cork.

The two blocks consisting of 3 and 5 floors will be piled foundation, RC frame, brick, and block exterior. As well as the 69 apartments, there are commercial units, a creche and associated parking.

OBR will deliver a turn key project. Works will begin in November 22 and expected a handover in the third quarter of 2024.

Maldron Hotel Brighton

OBR have been awarded the contract to carry out all the ground works and 8 storey RC Frame for C-Field Construction at Cannon Place, Brighton.

When completed the new hotel will have 221 bedrooms with sea views.

Project commences in Sept 22 and OBR works will be completed in May 23.

New Road Triangle, Feltham, London

OBR have been awarded the contract to carry out all the ground works and the 2nr RC Frames 11 and 14 storey for C-Field Construction at New Road Triangle site in Feltham.

This new development will provide 176 new social and affordable homes.

Project commences in August 22 and OBR works will be completed n June 23.

Greenford Block 8

OBR have been awarded the groundworks and RC frame on the next phase of Greystars redevelopment on Old Field Lane North Greenford for Tide Construction.

The project will consist of Ground floor slab including all drainage and services. OBR will use slipform construction to construct the 6 cores ranging from 7 to 15 stories. OBR will utilise precast columns as we did on the previous phase Block 4.

Project starts in Sep 22 and will be completed in Mar 23

OBR have been awarded the contract to carry out all the groundworks including basement box construction plus the 12 storey RC frame for C-Field Construction at 671-679 Old Kent road.

Project starts in Jul 22 and will be completed in Jun 23.

The Island Quarter Phase 2 Nottingham

OBR have been awarded the contract to construct 3 RC Blocks ranging in height from 2 to 12 stories for Bowmer & Kirkland at the Island Quarter Phase 2 in Nottingham.

The 702-bed purpose-built student development will have 6 cores that OBR will use slipform construction to construct OBR are utilizing Post tensioned construction for all the slabs helping to reduce our CO2 emissions.

Project starts in Aug 22 and will be completed in Jun 23.

Plot A3 New Bailey, Manchester

The Plot A3 works comprise the construction of 13 Storey RC Core with cast in plates. Structural Steel Frame will be built around the core which will provide a office building with 110,446 sq ft. OBR Construction Ltd scope of works includes the slip forming of the Core, installation of precast stairs and the casting of internal in-situ landings.

Obr Developments have commenced the construction of 40 houses and 24 apartments for Cork City Council at the Hawkes Road, Bishopstown site. works commencing October 2021 with completion in early 2023 anticipated.

Phase 2 of this Development will comprise the construction of a new Grade A office building 13 storeys in height. OBR Construction Ltd have been appointed to construct the Slip formed Core, suspended ground floor slab and associated RC works.

College Road comprises 817 Co-Living homes and 120 affordable residential units over two towers at 50 and 35 storeys tall. OBR Construction Ltd Scope of Works includes all ground works and RC works. The Cores will be slip formed and at 50 Storey in height will be OBR tallest to date surpassing the George street, Croydon project which stands at 44 Storeys.

OBR Construction Ltd have been awarded the RC Frame package for 5 nr residential blocks in Couldson, London by C Field Construction. Works begin on site March 21. The Blocks range in height from 5-7 storey’s. Delighted to be working with C Field on yet another one of their projects.

OBR Construction Ltd have been awarded the RC Frame Package for two residential apartment block’s at Media City, Manchester. Blocks are 17 and 15 storey’s and OBR works commence on site January 21 with completion early September. Great to be working with Bowmer & Kirkland again.

Westview, Ballincollig

Obr Developments have completed and handed over 44 units at Westview, Ballincollig to Respond Housing agency. The project which commenced July 2019 is a mixture of houses, duplexes and apartments. The project was completed to the original programme even with the pandemic lockdown which is testament to our hard working site management and all our dedicated sub-contractors.

OBR Construction Ltd have completed our £7.7 million 5 Block Project for Bouygues 2 months ahead of programme. This project was executed safely in adherence with all COVID guidelines. Great work and testament to OBR Site management and Bouygues site team.

Lewisham Exchange, London

OBR Construction Ltd have completed the two slip-forms cores and transfer slabs at Lewisham Exchange for Tide Construction. This allows the off site manufactured Modules to be installed. Cores were 20 & 35 storey’s high. Internal stairs and landings were cast while cores slid, allowing quick access to Roof of Cores where Cranes were erected which in turn lift in Modules. Delighted to have worked on this successful project with Tide.

OBR Construction Ltd have been awarded the RC and groundwork package for the Lewisham Exchange project. Lewisham Exchange will provide 758 student rooms and 67 affordable homes over 35 and 20 storeys. Cores will be slip formed and module construction thereafter.

OBR Construction Ltd have been awarded the RC works on the New Brown Field site in Castleview Park, Bristol for Bouygues. It provides 375 new homes, through a mixture of Build-to-Rent and affordable dwellings. With a total of 5 blocks ranging from a 26-storey, 10, 7,6 & 5 storey blocks. Works commence October 2019. value of Project £7.7 Million.

DOB Construction are currently working on €4 million 27 bedroom extension to Cramer’s Court nursing home Belgooly. Works began on site July 18 with the first 17 beds ready for hand over 1st week of April 19 followed by the remaining 10 end of May.

OBR Construction Ltd have been awarded the ground works and RC frame @ 240 Seven Sisters for Tide Construction. Development consists of construction of basement and RC core 11 storey’s, with podium at 1st floor level and Module Construction by Vision Modular there after. 240 Seven Sisters Road will be home to a new 192 bed Premier Inn Hotel and amenities.
